Update on AEP Texas winter storm restoration in west Texas (1-3-2015; 3 p.m.)

January 3, 2015

At 2:40 p.m., AEP Texas crews restored power to the substation serving the city of Alpine.  Service has been restored to the majority of customers within the city with only of 1,750 resident within the city limits still without power.  

Currently there are approximately 2,900 consumers in Alpine, Marathon, Fort Davis and surrounding areas without power as compared with the 5,400 outages at 1:30 p.m.
