Powering the Next Tomorrow
Indiana Michigan Power is investing in cleaner ways to create energy, spark creativity and light imaginations. In 2021, we generated more than 80% of our energy from emission-free sources, including solar, wind, hydro and the Cook Nuclear Plant, and our energy efficiency programs help reduce customers’ energy use, which also lowers demand for generation of electricity. By 2030, we’re committed to tripling our capacity for clean energy.
We closed one of our two remaining coal-fueled power plants in 2015, and technology continues to be added to reduce emissions at the Rockport Generation Plant (our lone coal-fueled plant).
