SWEPCO Names Frank Crockett As Manager, Economic Development

SHREVEPORT, La., August 12, 2009 – Frank Crockett has been named Manager, Economic Development for SWEPCO, and will be responsible for economic development activities across SWEPCO’ s three-state service area of Northwest Louisiana, western Arkansas and east and north Texas. He can be reached directly at 318-673-3170 for economic development needs.  Crockett had been serving as a senior customer services representative at AEP’s Kentucky Power Company.
Crockett has over 20 years of economic development experience, and has served as a manager of community affairs and economic development executive with Kentucky Power and Appalachian Power in Virginia.  He also has nine years previous experience with local government agencies.
A native of Rose Hill, Virginia, Crockett earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Carson Newman College and a master of business administration degree from East Tennessee State University in marketing and management. He received his Certified Economic Developer certification from the Economic Development Institute at Norman, Oklahoma.
Crockett has been active in a number of economic development and chamber of commerce organizations in Kentucky and Virginia. He is married to the former Sharon Daugherty of Kingsport, Tennessee and he enjoys golfing, woodworking and traveling.
