You Can Save on Water Heating
Setting back the temperature on your water heater can save money. More importantly, it can help avoid scalding.
Your water heater should be set no higher than 120°F. To do this, adjust the temperature by either the dial or the digital display, depending on the type of water heater you have.
If you'll be away for more than a few days, use the vacation setting or turn it to the lowest temperature. Only leave the water heater off if you'll be gone longer than two weeks, and when you're sure that the air temperature around the water heat won't drop below freezing.
You can set back your water heater's temperature to make your home safer, more comfortable and efficient. We could pay you to reduce your energy use when energy demand is high. We will automatically adjust your water heater during these peak times, and you can earn bill credits. Learn more about it at ElectricIdeas.com/WaterHeater.
