Large areas of the country, including the Midwest, are experiencing extremely cold temperatures. In response to the situation, Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has announced it will temporarily suspend disconnecting customers’ power.

As a blast of extreme winter cold and snow is expected this weekend, we want to help customers stay safe and warm while keeping costs as low as possible.

The process will start Monday, Dec. 15 and the reservoir level will decrease six inches at a time over a four-day period.

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission approved the agreement between I&M, Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, and consumer groups to acquire the Oregon Clean Energy Center, an existing 870 megawatt (MW) natural gas plant located in Oregon, Ohio.
