Subin Mathew

Director of Reliability and Grid Modernization

Subin Mathew is Director of Reliability and Grid modernization and leads I&M forward in effective planning, organization, implementation and operation of Grid Modernization technologies, reliability improvement and monitoring system performance. He is also responsible for the development of asset strategy consistent with achieving AEP's corporate goals and objectives for the assigned territory.

Mathew previously held the position of Enterprise Innovation & Technology Manager at AEP, and previously worked in various Engineering and Project Management capacities within AEP and other companies in the energy industry. In these roles, he supported and led several emerging technology projects and key initiatives across Generation, Transmission, and Distribution business units.

Mathew holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Purdue University and is a certified project management professional.
