Staff Driven to Helping Local Youth Through Passion for Classic Cars

October 16, 2023

I&M staff had a busy Saturday assisting the southwest Michigan community, but not due to weather. Instead, over 70 cars cruised in for a car show benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Michigan.

The Sept. 30 event, held at I&M’s Benton Harbor service center, raised over $800 for an organization that pours into opportunities for youth. It also raised excitement for car enthusiasts in the community, who now look forward to future shows.

“The car show was great and our community really showed up for this event,” said Joseph Taylor, I&M customer design supervisor and event chair.  “It was great to see the students from the Boys & Girls club enjoying themselves. We are anxious to begin planning next year’s show and continue to serve our local community.”

Each year, millions of children rely on Boys & Girls Clubs Nationwide for help developing necessary skills for school. It also serves as a safe haven, providing opportunities for discovery and learning. Events such as the car show allow staff to reach thousands of kids each day.

I&M is invested in working together to support growth and the initiatives of the communities around us. For more information on how we are powering the next community initiative, visit the community section of the I&M website.
