We work each day to power businesses and ensure comfort at home, but the time dedicated to supporting those around us makes the biggest impact. Our team is committed to supporting initiatives that enrich the communities where we live, work and volunteer. In September, staff had the opportunity to support various local organizations:
- Several teams took to the course at Autumn Ridge Golf Club to support the Habitat for Humanity’s Golf Outing in early September. Representing I&M at this outing included Scott Huebner, Jesse Lafromboise, Dave Isaacson and Jarrod Wilson.
- Staff had the advantage to discuss innovation, inclusivity and growth in our community at the 2023 Greater Fort Wayne Inc. Economic Development Summit on Sept. 13. I&M served as a sponsor of the event, which is an extension of a partnership with Greater Fort Wayne Inc.
- We support brighter futures for our communities. This was reflected in I&M’s sponsorship of the Early Childhood Alliance’s (ECA) Spark-a-Future event, which highlights the growing importance of early education.
- Line workers participated in the Allen County Public Safety Fair to demonstrate the importance of safety around power lines. Tips shared with attendees included the importance of calling 811 before digging outside and what to do if involved in a car accident involving a power line.
- Car enthusiasts showed support for their community at a car show benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton Harbor. The event, organized by I&M staff, promoted our continued support of the youth in the communities where we live, work and volunteer.
I&M is invested in working together to support growth and the initiatives of the communities around us. For more information on how we are powering the next community initiative, visit the community section of the I&M website.
