I&M’s Economic and Business Development team takes pride building relations with organizations and partners to celebrate growth and strategize for the future of our region. This collaboration provides an update on our team’s work as well as an overview of how the energy industry is evolving.

Recently, I&M hosted 45 partners for a business meeting in Fort Wayne. I&M president and chief operating officer, Steve Baker, kicked off the meeting with a business update, focused on the changes I&M has experienced over the several years. This included what generation resources are now providing energy for reliable power and how our focus on putting customers first has not changed during that time.

“Consistent collaboration with our partners creates an opportunity for future growth within our communities and ensures we can thrive together in an evolving landscape,” said Ashley Savieo, I&M Director of Economic and Business Development. “We value this time to connect with our partners and share more about our work and hear from them how we can have a greater impact.”

The meeting included a speaker from PJM who outlined their role as a Regional Transmission Organization for its 13 state and Washington D.C. territory. Savieo, alongside Jill Scicchitano, I&M Economic and Business Development manager, also shared more on their work with large load customers and the resources available to partners across I&M’s footprint.
