Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) believes in promoting education and enhancing overall student achievement within our communities. To provide teachers, schools and agencies serving school-aged children the proper resources to learn beyond the classroom, I&M partners with its parent company, American Electric Power (AEP), to award grants to make next level learning possible.
The AEP Teacher Vision grant is designed to reward the talents and creativity of preschool through 12th grade educators. These individuals devote their time and resources to motivate students to think creatively and address challenges as they grow into future leaders. Grant recipients must live or teach in the communities I&M serves or are in communities with major AEP facilities. Recent recipients for the Teach Vision grant include:

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics inspires students of all ages to be creative and stretch their skills in math, science and technology. Through this program, students are not just building robots, they are building their future and exploring STEM careers. Grants to support the FIRST Robotics program are designed for teams of students who utilize brainstorming and teamwork to build robots for competitions at local, regional and international levels.
