AEP Foundation Expands Education Potential Through Recent Grants

The American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation has awarded grants through the Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) service area focused on promoting education and overall student achievement to teachers, schools and agencies serving school-aged children. Recipients of these grants are in the communities I&M serves or are areas with major I&M facilities.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics grants are designed for teams of students who utilize brainstorming and teamwork to build robots for competitions at local, regional and international levels. Recipients of this grant include:

The Teacher Vision grants are designed with the goal to improve academic achievement, with a focus on science, mathematics, technology, electrical safety and the balanced study of energy and the environment. Educators receiving the Teacher Vision grant include:
