I&M Announces New Director of Communications

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), an operating company of American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP), is pleased to announce the hiring of Marci Grossman as the new Director of Communications. A Chicagoland native, Grossman graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in journalism, and will lead I&M’s strategic efforts in both external and internal marketing strategy, communications and media relations. She joins the I&M team at a time when the company continues its leadership in transitioning to a cleaner and greener future along with focused energy service products to serve its customers in a professional and reliable manner.

As a seasoned communications professional for over 25 years, with expertise in leading teams and creating a positive culture, Grossman comes to I&M with 15 years of diverse energy experience. Her background includes working for businesses such as Florida Power and Light (FPL), Green Mountain Energy Company, Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas, Ameritech (now referred to as AT&T), and Dell

Technologies, in addition to various communication consulting roles. "Marci brings with her exceptional communication and marketing skills to enhance our efforts through analytics and customer-focused technologies," said Toby Thomas, I&M President and COO. "Her proven skills and extensive experience in a variety of roles in the communications and marketing sector will be critical to our long-term strategic vision to serve and communicate with our customers on ways they can save energy, stay informed and be an engaged partner in the delivery of energy to their home or business."

Grossman will begin her new role with I&M on February 1, 2021.
