Customers in both Indiana and Michigan are benefiting from lower transmission and power supply costs, resulting in lower rates on their bills.
Customer Savings Quarterly Snapshot in Review:
- Indiana customers have benefited from two consecutive quarters of reduced transmission rates, contributing to lower overall costs.
- Michigan customers using 1,000 kWh are seeing savings through a rider adjustment that is currently reducing customer bills by 7.9%. (Power Supply Cost Recovery Factor)
- The trend reflects ongoing efforts to manage costs while continuing to deliver safe and reliable electric service. I&M will also file to reduce and freeze base rates for IN customers later this summer.
