From downloading our app for account details; opting into our newsletter that offers energy-efficiency tips; and signing up for alerts to keep safe and informed – we offer diverse options to stay up to date. Since 2018, I&M’s social media platforms have offered a space to speak with a customer service team member. These individuals assist our customers with questions related to billing, outages and general customer service requests. They can also assist with credit extensions, payment arrangements, information about disconnected accounts, agency assistances and power outages. All by simply reaching out on our social platforms.
Unique needs happen at any time and can be unpredictable. Knowing someone with a deep understanding of company policies, who aims to keep interactions comfortable and prompt, is impactful. This team of experts remains focused on relaying accurate and consistent information with empathy, targeting first contact resolution. The chat style interaction then allows customers to provide additional information or questions while they discuss options with the customer service agent in real time.
Customers can reach out at any time, but representatives are available Monday through Friday from 7 am until 11 pm. They also assist customers during holidays and on weekends starting at 8 am through 5 pm. Information and questions sent in are closely monitored, ensuring customers receive assistance when they need it most. This includes when severe weather has passed, causing outages and other safety concerns associated with the damage.
