On Saturday, April 5, the Cook Nuclear Plant will perform an extended sounding of its early warning siren system as a part of its required annual testing. The regularly-scheduled first Saturday of the month siren test typically lasts for about one minute, but each April, the sirens sound for a full three minutes.
Today, Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) presented the Allen County Board of Commissioners a check worth nearly $55,000 for participating in a building optimization project at the Edwin J. Rousseau Centre. The project will reduce the building's future energy usage by 2.4 million kilowatt hours per year.
Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), an operating unit of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), plans to invest $500 million to upgrade northeast Indiana's electricity transmission infrastructure.

PJM Interconnection, which operates the electricity grid for more than 61 million people in 13 states and the District of Columbia, is requesting customers of all of its member utilities - including Indiana Michigan Power - to conserve electricity Tuesday.
