  • 11/30/2015
    Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, public access to the tailwater fishing area on the west side of the St. Joseph River (accessed off of North River Road), immediately downstream of the Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) Mottville Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, will be closed temporarily for substation construction.

    Indiana Michigan Power broke ground today on its second solar generation facility and also launched IM Solar, a program that enables Indiana customers to use
    local solar power without the expense of installing their own system.
  • 9/28/2015
    Indiana Michigan Power customers should beware of scam artists posing as I&M personnel calling customers and threatening to disconnect their electric service.
    In this recurring scam, customers are told they are behind on their electric bill and facing immediate disconnection. They are instructed to purchase a debit card, load the card with money, and then call an 800 number and provide the number from the card.

    Indiana Michigan Power's Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1 returned to service July 29, 2015 at 7:08 p.m. following repairs to a diesel generator.
  • 7/24/2015
    Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), an operating unit of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), broke ground today on its first solar generation facility.
