I&M has partnered with WeaveGrid to launch Charge Sync Rewards, a voluntary program that helps residential electric vehicle (EV) customers in Indiana charge during off-peak hours while earning a monthly incentive.
Through this program, eligible customers can earn $8 per month, up to $96 per year, by charging their EVs between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. This helps reduce peak demand, improve grid efficiency, and support reliable service as EV adoption grows across our service territory.
How the Program Works:
Customers can choose between two participation options:
Charge Sync Plus (Automated Option)
- A hands-off experience where charging is automatically scheduled
- Smart charging uses I&M grid conditions, cost signals and renewable energy availability
- Ensures the vehicle is ready by the customer’s chosen departure time
- Customers can override charging anytime if needed
Charge Sync (Customer-Managed Option)
- Customers manage their own off-peak charging
- No automated controls
- Earns the same $8 monthly reward
