I&M crews have been assembled from within the South Bend district (and from other areas I&M serves)  to assist in the restoration and repair of equipment damaged due to trees and high winds.

As of 11 a.m., I&M has restored power to more than 25% of customers, with about 8,000 remaining without service. We expect at least 90% of all customers affected by the storm on Saturday evening will be restored tonight by 11 p.m.

Our crews are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and are practicing physical distancing and other appropriate techniques such as wearing face coverings and disinfecting their work areas.  We ask for the safety of our crews and that of the general public that people refrain from approaching our crews as they work to restore power safely.
