American Electric Power Seeks Quotes For Biodiesel

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 26, 2010 – American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) is seeking quotes for the supply of biodiesel to one or more of its generating stations in Ohio.

AEP is seeking quotes for the truck delivery of biodiesel blended with red-dyed No. 2 fuel oil to its Picway, Muskingum River and Conesville plants in Ohio. AEP is evaluating the use of biofuels as a renewable fuel source for start up and flame stabilization as part of its compliance with alternative energy requirements in Ohio.

Quotes must be received by AEP no later than 5 p.m., Sept. 23. Proposals can be submitted by e-mail to biomassrfp@aep.com, by fax to (614) 583-1617 (Attn.
